Important Clinic UPDATE
Now, more than ever, it’s important to keep your health and wellbeing on track. Leaving home to get medical and other care is allowed. We have opened up HotDoc, our on line booking tool, to enable face to face and telehealth appointments. We have also extended the clinic opening hours.
We do ask that you do not attend the clinic should you have any recent history of fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or flu like symptoms. If you are currently or have recently experienced any of these symptoms, please book a telehealth conference in the first instance, or ring the clinic for further information. Some telehealth conference appointments may incur a fee, please discuss this with the doctor at the start of the consultation.
In an effort to control any possible spread of infection, we are limiting the number of people in the waiting area. Unless a carer is required to attend the appointment with you, only 1 person will be allowed in the waiting room or the doctors consulting room.
During these uncertain and worrying times, the doctors and staff here at Wingrove Medical Clinic are working hard to make sure that your medical needs are attended to and that you feel safe and well looked after. We thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Already implemented are a number of procedures to help limit possible exposure to COVID-19 while visiting the clinic.
If you are attending the clinic for an appointment, on arrival all are patients are screened at the door by our triage nurse. Your temperature will be taken and you will be asked mandatory screening questions before being allowed access to our waiting area. We have a limited number of chairs in the waiting area but you are welcome to wait outside once you have checked in. We have provided some seating outside the front of the office and in our staff parking area at the back of the building.
We have installed protection screens at reception and have hand sanitizer available to be used on arrival, and again before leaving the clinic. In an effort to manage infection control our patient toilet is closed and will only be opened for emergencies so please try to avoid needing to use our facilities. Where possible, we would prefer tap and go as payment in an effort to manage infection control.
Please note that Wingrove Medical Clinic is not a COVID 19 screening clinic. We are unable to carry out the testing required to confirm if you have COVID 19. If you meet the criteria for testing you will need to attend one of the fever clinics located at specific Melbourne hospitals
Please feel free to call the clinic with any questions and concerns.
