About Us
Wingrove Medical Clinic COVID -19 Update
Wingrove Medical Clinic are continuing to implement a number of procedures to help limit possible exposure to COVID 19 and prevent the spread of the virus
APPOINTMENT PROCEDURES
When making an appointment you will be given the option of a face to face appointment or a telephone consultation. If you are requesting a face to face appointment you will be asked if you have a recent history of fever, cough, shortness of breath or any cold and flu like symptoms. If you have experienced any of these symptoms you will be required to have a telephone appointment. If the Dr then feels it is necessary for you to attend in person for further assessment, an appointment will be made and appropriate infection control procedures will be put in place. We are not a bulk billing practice and there may be a fee associated with your teleconference or face to face appointment.
INFECTION CONTROL
We have installed protection screens at reception. Hand sanitizer is to be used on arrival, and again before leaving the clinic. In an effort to manage infection control our patient toilet is closed please try to avoid needing to use our facilities. Where possible, we would prefer tap and go as payment.
COVID 19 TESTING
Please note that Wingrove Medical Clinic is not a COVID 19 screening clinic. For information regarding COVID 19 testing sites in Melbourne please refer to the Department of Health website: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/getting-tested-coronavirus-covid-19. Private pathology testing sites require a referral from a Dr, please call the clinic to arrange a telephone appointment to obtain a referral. Drive through sites and hospitals do not require referrals.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we all attempt to navigate this period safely and please feel free to call the clinic with any questions and concerns.
